Katherine Heigl Premieres "One For the Money" in Paris

She’s no stranger to swanky movie premieres, and Katherine Heigl was back on the red carpet for her “One For the Money” debut in Paris, France on Tuesday night (January 31).

The “Knocked Up” star looked picture-perfect as she posed for pictures and chatted with press before disappearing inside the Cinema Gaumot Marignan venue.

In the film, which hit US theaters last Friday, Heigl’s character has a nude shower scene and she recently opened up about it to E! Online.

The 33-year-old confessed, "It's so uncomfortable. You are just never happy with the way you look. No matter how hard I tried or how little I ate that whole day hoping my stomach would stay flat, it doesn't matter."

Olivia Wilde Covers Angeleno February 2012

Adding to her already-impressive portfolio, Olivia Wilde is featured on the front of Angeleno magazine’s February 2012 issue.

The “House” starlet looks simply stunning in her fabulous photo spread, and in her interview she explains why she’s not the typical Tinseltown actress.

Olivia shares, “Some people think I’m stupid for taking so many supporting and smaller roles, but I love it. It reminds me of being in a company of actors, where you might be playing Lady Macbeth in one play and a nameless girl in another; you learn so much.”

Acting aside, Ms. Wilde really came alive politically when she became involved in Barack Obama’s Presidential Campaign back in 2008.

“I really believed in him as a candidate, and I got to know my country. I hadn’t been in the Midwest before, nor really in the South. I went door-to-door and it was great.”

She added, “I’m an advocate of youth participation in politics, and I hope there will be a swell of participation again, but I hope it’s based on actual knowledge of policy.”

Madonna Drops By “The Tonight Show”

Stepping out for a late night media appearance, Madonna was spotted at “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” last night (January 30).

The “Material Girl” songstress chatted about her new film “W.E.” as well as her upcoming Super Bowl performance and new album MDNA to be released in March.

Of course, Leno had something up his sleeve and asked Madge to finally explain her “Like A Virgin” performance on the MTV Video Music Awards 28 years ago.

Madonna began, "Here's what happened. I was standing at the top of a wedding cake, as one does, and I walked down these steps, which were the tiers of a wedding cake. And I lost my shoe. I lost my white stiletto. And I thought, 'Oh god, how am I gonna get that? It's over there and I'm on TV.’”

She continued, “So I thought well, I'll just pretend I meant to do this and I dove on to the floor and I rolled around and I reached for the shoe. And as I reached for the shoe, the dress went up. And the underpants were showing.... I didn't mean to."

The style competition is really heating up as awards season rolls on, and at the SAG Awards on Sunday night, it was all about taking risks. A-list actresses brought out their best designer dresses for the event at the Shrine Auditorium, showing off not-so-subtle slits and striking pale-white and sleek-and-chic black gowns.'

"There were a lot of beautiful black gowns on the carpet last night," Celebuzz producer Rachel Maresca said. "We saw Angelina Jolie in black, we saw Emma Stone, we saw Ashlee Simpson."

For photos of the stars on the red carpet, click here.

Also stunning in black was Stacy Keibler, who managed to stand out while walking the carpet alongside boyfriend and SAG nominee George Clooney.

"I think who nailed it the best was Stacey Keibler. She came arm-in-arm with George Clooney in a black lace Marchesa dress. She's been supporting him at all the award shows. She really stood out herself last night," Maresca said.

The women of "Glee" hit the carpet in silver. Lea Michele wore a high-slit Versace gown, while Naya Rivera wore a beaded Naeem Khan dress with a plunging neckline.

"It's comfortable and I really like the color, and I like the silhouette as well. It's heavy, but it's good," Rivera told MTV News.

The undisputed red-carpet winners of the night were the stars of "The Help," who won top prize for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Stone wore a black lace Alexander McQueen dress, while her co-star and winner for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Supporting Role, Octavia Spencer, sparkled in a silver Tadashi Shoji gown. SAG Award winner for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Leading Role Viola Davis was glowing in a white Marchesa gown, and SAG nominee Jessica Chastain decided to go with a pop of color in custom Calvin Klein.

But it was Natalie Portman who stood out above the rest. Last year's best actress winner for "Black Swan" flaunted her post-baby body in a strapless burgundy gown by Giambattista Valli.

"She looked very elegant," Maresca said. "She really wowed everybody."

'Man On A Ledge': A Man, A Ledge And 'So Much More'

Stars of the film talk to MTV News about the thriller surrounding 'a desperate man in a desperate situation.'
By Kara Warner

While some filmmakers go the mysterious or fanciful route with their titles, there are just as many who tell their prospective audiences exactly what they're going to see. "Man on a Ledge," which opened Friday (January 27), is about as literal a film title as you can get.

When MTV News caught up with the cast recently, we asked them to explain the inherent intrigue in the title, as well as why the film has so much more going for it than just a man and a ledge.

"[The film is about] a desperate man in a desperate situation," star Sam Worthington said of his character and the man on a ledge himself, Nick Cassidy. "As the movie goes on, we get to see why he's there and how's he's going to get out of it."

Worthington went on to say that "Man on a Ledge" takes a few cues from action films like "The Negotiator" and "Phone Booth."

"I like those movies. I've always said I like doing movies that I would go and see and this is in the same vein as those movies," Worthington said. "It's exciting, thrilling and interesting for the audience because they've got a lead character who they're wondering, 'What's going to happen next?' "

"The basic premise of the movie is that there is a man on a ledge, and the great thing is that there is so much more behind that basic premise," added co-star Elizabeth Banks, who plays determined hostage negotiator Lydia Mercer. "Why is he there? What is he there for? What's really happening? Those are all the questions that my character has and I get to sort of be the surrogate for the audience.

"The whole time we're watching the movie we're learning more about what's going on. I'm the truth-seeker of the movie, I'm really interested in understanding why he's there in the first place," she explained. "Sam's character says to me at one point, 'You need to listen, I'm prepared to die' and what he's really saying is 'Even if I die, I need you to carry on and tell everyone what happened,' and that's the great mystery of the movie. The action that drives the movie is, 'What the heck is going on here?' "

Jamie Bell, who plays the man on the ledge's younger brother, conceded that the title basically sells the film. "It's quite literal," he said.

"I think that's what throws people off," offered Genesis Rodriguez, who plays the girlfriend of Bell's character. "They're like, 'Oh, it's a movie about a man on a ledge.' It really isn't. There's more to it.' You should check it out because you don't know it all."

Dimmu Borgir Release Live DVD; Plus Led Zeppelin, Brujeria, & More News That Rules, In Metal File

'It shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums,' guitarist says.
By Chris Harris

<P>On October 14, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/borgir_dimmu/artist.jhtml">Dimmu Borgir</a>Dimmu Borgir &#8212; who just happen to be <a href="/news/articles/1593780/demi-lovato-metalhead-metal-file.jhtml">Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band</a> &#8212; will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said. "It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told <i>Metal File</i> last week, after <a href="/news/articles/1596201/in-this-moment-make-the-dream-a-reality-metal-file.jhtml">dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records</a>. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically." Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour &#8212; which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/moonspell/artist.jhtml">Moonspell</a>Moonspell, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/winds_of_plague/artist.jhtml">Winds of Plague</a>Winds of Plague and Skeletonwitch &#8212; to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP. "It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- <i>is</i> this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be." Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled <i>In Sorte Diaboli.</i> "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon &#8212; he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring. "I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band &#8212; I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation." While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings. "And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write &#8212; we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula." Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older &#8212; guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/susperia/artist.jhtml">Susperia's</a>Susperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/vader/artist.jhtml">Vader</a>Vader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake. "We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it &#8212; we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that." The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco. The rest of the week's metal news: Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, <b>Winds of Plague</b>, have announced ex-<b>Azusa</b> drummer <b>Art Cruz</b> has joined their ranks &#8212; he replaced <b>Jeff Tenney</b>. According to the band's blog, "Art has already added a new spark to the band and has provided us with a solid backbone that will allow us to continue our rampage stronger than ever." ... What the world really needs is another <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml"><b>Led Zeppelin</b></a><b>Led Zeppelin</b> box set, so, on November 4, Rhino Records will issue the <i>Led Zeppelin Definitive Collection Mini LP Replica CD</i> box set. For just $200, you'll get 1969's <i>Led Zeppelin,</i> 1969's <i>Led Zeppelin II,</i> 1970's <i>Led Zeppelin III,</i> 1971's <i>Led Zeppelin IV,</i> 1973's <i>Houses of the Holy,</i> 1975's <i>Physical Graffiti,</i> 1976's <i>Presence,</i> 1976's <i>The Song Remains the Same,</i> 1979's <i>In Through the Out Door</i> and 1982's <i>Coda,</i> as mini-LP replicas, with artwork from the original U.K. LP sleeves. Now, you know what you can get your dad for Christmas. ... Former <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/killswitch_engage/artist.jhtml"><b>Killswitch Engage</b></a><b>Killswitch Engage</b> frontman <b>Jesse Leach</b> and current Killswitch Engage guitarist <b>Adam Dutkiewicz</b> have teamed up for a new project they're calling <b>Times of Grace</b>, and they've already started working on material for their debut album. According to Leach, "We have two songs to go and we will be finished with all of the vocals. Adam has taken lead vocals in three songs as of yet and he is doing a great job. <P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a> is <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/britneyspears" target="_blank">"still glowing"</a> after longtime boyfriend <a href="/news/articles/1676120/britney-spears-is-engaged.jhtml">Jason Trawick popped the question</a> to the pop star on Friday. The two spent the weekend in Las Vegas, where Spears flashed her Neil Lane engagement ring as they celebrated their upcoming nuptials and Trawick's 40th birthday. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:720837" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Friends and family have been showing their support and <a href="/news/articles/1676171/britney-spears-engagement-fan-reaction.jhtml">well-wishes</a> for the couple's upcoming wedding, including Spears' <a href="/news/articles/1676192/britney-spears-engaged-k-fed-comments.jhtml">ex-husband Kevin Federline</a>, who told <a href="http://tvweek.ninemsn.com.au/blog.aspx?blogentryid=963715&showcomments=true" target="_blank"><i>TV Week</i></a> magazine that he was "really happy for her." Yet it seems that no one is as happy for Spears than her die-hard fans. MTV News spoke with Las Vegas-based webmaster Jordan Miller, who runs Spears' biggest fan site, <a href="http://www.breatheheavy.com/" target="_blank">BreatheHeavy.com</a>, and he told us just how thrilled he is about the news. "I was pretty excited for Britney when I found out she was engaged," Miller said. "I think it's a good step for her to have some sort of relationship where she can share her feelings and thoughts about her life, so I'm happy for her." </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:720382" width="240" height="211"></div><p> And it seems all of his followers agree. "The overwhelming reaction from fans about the news of Britney's engagement is that they're really happy for her," Miller said. "They think it's such good timing for her, to finish the tour and kind of have a break and be able to start a new chapter in her life. So I think the majority of fans are really happy for Britney and that it's definitely a good step for her." The news doesn't come as a big shock to Miller, since rumors of Britney's engagement have been swirling for months. "There were rumors for the last six months pretty much saying he was going to do it in December," Miller said of the couple, who have been <a href="/news/articles/1676167/britney-spears-jason-trawick-engaged-timeline.jhtml">dating since 2009</a>. "So it's cool to see that it actually happened and she's going to get married." Details have not been released as to when Britney will tie the knot, but it seems Miller already has the perfect wedding gift in mind from all of her fans. "If fans could get Britney a cool present, it would be a vacation to a tropical island where she didn't have to be around anyone but Jason," Miller said. <i>What do you think of Britney's engagement? Let us know in the comments. </i></p>

Watch The Ferris Bueller Inspired Super Bowl Ad For Honda (Full Video)

Ferris Bueller is back baby! Well kind of back, Honda has released a commercial inspired by the film and featuring Matthew Broderick, who as I am sure you all know starred in the 80’s hit movie. You can see the ad in its entirety below. The Honda ad that has Broderick channeling the character that made him a household name is hysterical. The full length version of the commercial was released today and it has been blowing up on the Internet ever since. Last week there was a little tease about the Ferris Bueller commercial but today fans got to see it all. Although Matthew plays himself in the ad he certainly plays off the infamous character. In fact there are a number of key scenes from the film that are recreated or rather moments from the film with their own spin on it if you will. The thing that is in this version as opposed to the movie version is of course the Honda CR-V and yes you see it everywhere in the commercial. But don’t let that take away from this nostalgic walk down memory lane. I for one was a huge fan of this movie when I [...]

Soap Dish: Shout Out To General Hospital’s Jen Lilley

It is Soap Dish time again my friends and this week I am giving a shout out to Jen Lilley, who has been playing Maxie Jones on General Hospital since last fall. She has been filling in for an ill Kirsten Storms and she is killing it. When I first saw Jen on screen instead of Kirsten, who I have been a huge fan of since she played Belle on Days of Our Lives, I was like who is this chick. I was not at all pleased that there was a new Maxie. I shamefully admit that I immediately began to judge the new actress and I might have not been so nice. However fast forward five months later and I am in awe of the amazing and talented Jen Lilley. She has quickly become one of my favorite actresses on GH. To come in and fill in for a super popular actress and character on a soap opera is a really tough job and many fail at it but not Jen. Nope she has stayed true to the character and brought her own unique qualities to Maxie that have quite honestly showered another layer to her, which I love. [...]

Britney Spears, Jason Trawick: A Timeline Of Their Love

The couple started dating in 2009 while Trawick was still Britney's agent.

<P>Months ago, rumors began circulating that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a> and longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick were going to tie the knot. And on Friday (December 16), sources close to the pair and a mysterious tweet from the star herself confirmed that the <a href="/news/articles/1676120/britney-spears-is-engaged.jhtml">couple is engaged</a>. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:720382" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Trawick had already been working with the star as her agent at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment when they began dating in 2009. They went public with their romance when they showed up hand-in-hand to the 2010 Grammy Awards. That May, the two decided to separate their business and personal relationships, and it was confirmed that Trawick would <a href="/news/articles/1638945/britney-spears-confirms-professional-split-from-agent-boyfriend.jhtml">no longer be representing Spears</a>. The pair have always been pretty low-key. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest this March, the pop star opened up about their life together. "We're really normal," she said. "We just like to watch movies; we work out a lot; we take walks." In May, Spears told <a href="http://www.harpersbazaar.com/magazine/cover/britney-spears-talks-gossip-and-family" target="_blank"><i>Harper's Bazaar,</i></a> "I've thought about both [marriage and kids]," saying that tying the knot with Trawick could happen "if the timing was right." And in an interview with <i>Us Weekly</i> in April, <a href="/news/articles/1661441/britney-spears-us-magazine.jhtml">Spears gushed about life</a> with Trawick. "We have such a great time together! He makes me laugh, and we are so comfortable being ourselves," she said. "Maybe [I'll marry again]. Never say never!" </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:703334" width="240" height="211"></div><p> In August, Spears and Trawick walked the red carpet at the 2011 MTV VMAs, and Britney later thanked Trawick when she took the stage to accept her Moonman for <a href="/news/articles/1669846/britney-spears-vmas-best-pop-video.jhtml">Best Pop Video</a> for "Till the World Ends." While the two have remained relatively private, they gave fans a peek at their personal life when they played the lead roles in <a href="http://www.mtv.com/videos/britney-spears/703015/criminal.jhtml">Britney's "Criminal" video</a>. The video focuses on a fictional love affair between their characters, who go on a crime spree that leads to a steamy encounter. Director Chris Marrs Piliero said Trawick "killed it." This will be Britney's third marriage. She was married to Jason Alexander for 55 hours in 2004. Later that year, she married back-up dancer Kevin Federline; the two divorced in 2006. Federline and Spears have two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston. A rep for the singer has yet to confirm the news of this latest engagement to MTV News. <i>Send your well-wishes to Britney and Jason in the comments.</i></p>

Conrad Murray Not Expected To Serve Full Four Years

Legal expert Mike Cavalluzzi tells MTV News he isn't surprised by sentence but doesn't think it's justified.
By Gil Kaufman

Dr. Conrad Murray sits in court after he was sentenced for the involuntary manslaughter of singer Michael Jackson at the Los Angeles Superior Court on November 29, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Judge Michael E. Pastor sentenced Murray to four years in the Los Angeles County Jail for the involuntary manslaughter of Jackson. A restitution hearing has been scheduled for January 23, 2012 to determine the amount of restitution to be paid to the Jackson family.

<P>Though he dodged a potential four-year prison term, former <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml">Michael Jackson</a> physician Conrad Murray was sentenced to an equal amount of time in Los Angeles County Jail on Tuesday (November 29) in the death of the pop singer. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:714975.id:1673923" width="240" height="211"></div><p> But the same overcrowding problems that spared the cardiologist from doing time in a federal pen might also save him from serving his entire sentence in county as well. Shortly after the <a href="/news/articles/1675062/conrad-murray-sentence.jhtml">sentence was handed down</a> by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor, Los Angeles Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore told <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/jackson_family_reacts_conrad_murrays/277336" target="_blank">E! News</a> that Murray would likely end up serving "a little less than two years." Due to overcrowding, most county jail sentences are immediately cut in half, and given the 46 days credit Murray has already been given, he is looking at even less than that. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/mtvnews/posts/199210760161755" target="_blank"><b>Do you think Conrad Murray deserved the maximum sentence? Let us know on Facebook.</b></a> Murray's lawyers said afterward that they believed the sentence was unnecessarily long. "Yes, of course [Judge Pastor] was harsh. He gave the stiffest penalty he was entitled to give under the law," Murray's attorney, J. Michael Flanagan, told reporters. "He was openly hostile. ... [Murray has] led 56 years of exemplary life. He was really dreading [sentencing]. I think anybody would dread going into it. He's an honorable man, and he'll get through this. The family is suffering more than Dr. Murray is. ... Dr. Murray is the provider in that family." Pastor had leeway in the sentencing, with options ranging from probation to the full sentence, but in a lengthy ruling from the bench, he said Murray's lack of remorse and negligent behavior called for the highest possible penalty. "He is and remains dangerous ... the request of probation is denied, the court imposes the high term of four years imprisonment in this case," Pastor said during the 90-plus-minute hearing. Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney Mike Cavalluzzi told MTV News that he wasn't surprised by the sentencing but that he didn't believe it was justified. Cavalluzzi said Pastor had incentive to give the full sentence because of the prominence of Jackson and his family and to create the perception that he is tough on crime. "He gets that perception by sentencing him to the max while not having to surrender the defendant to the full sentence," said Cavalluzzi, who was not involved in the case. "He gets the self-satisfaction of being perceived as being tough on crime and making the Jackson family happy, but I don't think it was a fair sentence." Cavalluzzi said when deciding prison versus probation, judges have to look at someone's criminal history and whether a person is likely to complete the terms of their probation, which he believes Murray would. "I'm not seeing aggravating factors here, and I think it was just a chapter in [Murray's] life and he does not have a history of being a mercenary doctor always after money, but of being a good, responsible doctor who was seduced by the celebrity and money that Jackson offered," he said. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:708788.id:1673923" width="240" height="211"></div><p> As to why Pastor gave such a dramatic, lengthy explanation for why he was sentencing Murray to the max, Cavalluzzi said the judge has to have a justification for his actions in the public record. "Because he doesn't have the discretion to give a high prison term, [Pastor] has to justify his sentence in the record and have very specific reasons for it. I don't think there's any way that anyone truly believes that from this day forward Dr. Murray truly represents a threat to society. That's just ludicrous." And while he doesn't agree with the four-year term, Cavalluzzi said the high-profile nature of the case and the glare of the media could have played into the sentence. "It probably gives [<a href="/news/articles/1675068/conrad-murray-sentencing.jhtml">Jackson's family</a>] great comfort to have someone to blame," he said. " 'If not for this awful man, my son, brother, father would be alive.' But it's not fair to do that and it feels like a capitulating judgment in favor of feeding the emotional needs of the family." Upon leaving the courthouse, Michael's brother Jermaine, when asked if the four-year sentence was enough, shook his head and said, "No." Mother Katherine Jackson told local TV station KTLA, "Four years is not enough for someone's life. It won't bring him back. But at least he got the maximum, and I thought the judge was very, very fair." The prosecution, however, was satisfied with the ruling. "We're pleased. That's what we thought was appropriate. The judge obviously agreed with us," deputy district attorney David Walgren said. "It was our position that it was not a simple, one-time mistake; it was a series of mistakes culminating in the abandonment of Michael Jackson when he died ... the judge agreed with that sentiment. A brother and a son and a family member was killed, and whatever the sentence may be, the family of the victim deserves justice. And we did everything to bring them that justice." As for how much time Murray will spend locked up, Cavalluzzi said it is likely to be less than two years and, frankly, he predicted, the doctor could be out even sooner than that. "He might be eligible for house arrest very quickly," he said.</p>

"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for," she <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/britneyspears" target="_blank">wrote</a>. "Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo" A rep for the singer hadn't responded to MTV News' request for comment by press time, but sources confirmed the news to <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20550229,00.html" target="_blank"><i>People</i></a> magazine. TMZ further reports that Jason asked Britney's dad, Jamie, for his daughter's hand before he popped the question. According to reports, Britney already knew about the engagement and the couple will sign a prenuptial agreement. As for her conservatorship, her conservators have signed off on the couple's plans to marry; a judge will most likely give them the go-ahead to tie the knot. A source tells <a href="http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/britney-spears-engaged-to-jason-trawick-20111612#ixzz1giRxDKhY" target="_blank">Usmagazine.com</a> that Trawick asked his lady love to marry him on Thursday night while the two were at a romantic dinner celebrating his 40th birthday. The couple will celebrate the engagement at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on Friday. "This is something they've both wanted for a long time," the source told the site. "It's a way to cement their family. They're both extremely happy and can't wait to become man and wife." The Neil Lane ring is a four-carat, round-cut diamond with micro pave diamonds around the band, according to <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/get_details_on_britney_spears/281287" target="_blank">E!</a> News. "It's classic, simple and beautiful," a rep for the jewelry company told the site. The rep added that Trawick worked with the designer to design a "dream ring" for his future wife. While there's no confirmation from Spears' camp just yet about the engagement, Spears did reveal something on Twitter: what she bought Jason for his birthday. "Hbday Jason! He looked so cool in the video, that I had to get him a new motorcycle," she wrote.
