Leighton Meester Lights Up the Empire State Building

Steering clear of the rain with help of an umbrella, Leighton Meester was spotted leaving her New York City hotel earlier today (April 28).

The always fashion fabulous "Gossip Girl" star sported her city-chic style in a gold pair of earrings, beige top and a blue patterned skirt for the morning outing - as she helped Vera Wang light the Empire State Building red and white in honor of the 5th annual DKMS Gala.

Meanwhile, Leighton has revealed some of what you can expect from her upcoming comedy "Monte Carlo" to MTV, dishing that the film "is about three young women from Texas who go to Paris together on a trip. There's a big case of mistaken identity in a really nice hotel in Paris that they end up in, and they're whisked away to Monte Carlo."

You can catch all the funny adventures of the PG-rated flick, which also stars Cory Monteith and Selena Gomez, when it hits theaters July 1st.
