It’s Meg Ryan’s 50th birthday today…Happy happy Birthday! To honor the milestone, let’s take a look back at some of my favorite roles she has played over the years. We first took notice of Meg when she appeared on the CBS soap As The World Turns, playing the lovable Betsy Stewart. She, along with Frank Runyeon who played Steve Andropoulos, was one of ATWT’s power couples during the 80′s. She would play the role of Betsy until 1984, leaving after two years. Check out the video below. She hit the big time with her role as Sally Albright in the 1989 Rob Reiner directed film, When Harry Met Sally. Truly one of my favorite movies of all time, she was perfect as the lovable neurotic Albright. Can men and women still be the best of friends without the complication of sex? She co-starred with Tom Hanks in the 1993 hit, Sleepless in Seattle. This film left many hopeless romantics thinking that yes indeed, love can be found anywhere. Ahhh, the Empire State Building scene, it still gets me teary eyed. Check it out below. I can remember watching French Kiss at the movie theaters with a group of gal pals. [...]
